I have received most of this information from Dr. Vladimir Kozin, who issues daily reports as a Russian military analyst. This is from today’s report, Report #113. “Russian MoD: Zelensky and the USA are responsible for killing Ukrainian POW”. Dr. Kozin has been reporting on the humanitarian situation routinely; this is an update, but the first time that I’ve covered it.
The Russian Ministry of Defense emphasizes that unlike the Ukrainian Armed Forces, the Russian Armed Forces and the military of the Donetsk and Lugansk People's Republics are not striking at civilian infrastructure facilities during this special military operation. Also they are treating civilians humanely and providing them with comprehensive assistance and support.
The Russians are recording criminal actions of the Kiev regime against civilians in stationing troops in the buildings of colleges, using the campuses as strongholds, ammunition depots, and even firing points, mining approaches to the colleges, setting up roadblocks to detain nearby residents, and restricting their movements. Following is a detailed account of where they have done this:
Soldiers in the Ukraine Armed Forces (AFU) are using the building of a medical college on Nosakova Street as an ammunition depot and stronghold. They have mined the approaches to the college, but deliberately not told the local people about it.
The Ukrainian Armed Forces are using school buildings in Berezovka in the Odessa Region as quarters at the Higher Vocational School of the National Polytechnic University and the Agrarian Lyceum on Pobedy Street, with artillery and armoured vehicles nearby.
The AFU and territorial defense units are also using the buildings of the Transport Infrastructure College in Gagarin Street as quarters in Slavyansk in the Donetsk People's Republic. They have set up roadblocks and firing points on the approaches to the college, and nearby residents have been forcibly detained in their houses under the pretext of keeping them safe.
The AFU has also established firing positions and ammmunition depots in the residences of local people on Sadovaya Street in Seversk in the Donetsk People's Republic without evacuating them, using them as human shields.
Territorial defense units are also quartered at the Agrotechnological College on Suvorov Avenue in Izmail in the Odessa region, where they have also set up roadblocks and firing points in the vicinity of the building.
Ukrainian militants, MLRS and artillery are also stationed in Kharkov at the Machine-Building College on General Momot Street. Again the approaches to the building have been mined without informing the local population.
AFU soldiers have also equipped a stronghold in the teacher training college on Blagoveshchenskaya Street in Artemovsk in the Donetsk People's Republic. They have deployed armoured vehicles and artillery. Residents of nearby homes are not being allowed the freedom to come and go, ostensibly to ensure their safety.
AFU units have also mined a road bridge across the Solyonaya River in Novopavlovka in the Dnepropetrovsk Region.
“Such actions by criminal Ukrainian authorities demonstrate complete indifference to the fate of their own citizens and absolute disregard for all norms of morality and the principles of international humanitarian law.”
Russia has been delivering extensive humanitarian aid to the people of the Donbass. You will see this information nowhere in the Western media.
In an article in Tass yesterday, “Military Operation in Ukraine”, Military Operation in Ukraine, we are informed that Russian troops have delivered over 420 tonnes of aid to LPR, DPR, and southern Ukraine in the past day. According to Colonel General Mikhail Mizintsev, 1,384 humanitarian missions have been conducted since March 2, with 49,754.8 tonnes of aid delivered to the Donbass republics and Kharkov and Kherson regions of Ukraine.
Mizintsev heads up Russia’s interagency coordination center for humanitarian response in Ukraine, the National Defense Management Center.
